Identification of best fit crude oil of upper Assam basin for pipeline transportation

Abstract This paper attempts to identify a crude oil (CO) from eight different CO samples with wide range of o API gravity 13 43 belonging Upper Assam Basin, India, formulate the identified for pipeline transportation. Studies were conducted understand physical, rheological, and viscoelastic properties where physical included pour point (PP) gravity, rheological viscosity (η), kinematic (K.V.), constant (VGC), shear stress (τ) strain (γʹ) elastic modulus (G)' viscous (G''). research aims at achieving PP < 9 °C ease flow through even during extreme winter season in when ambient temperature drops below 10 C. SKO 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% was added all determine 30 °C, since most near °C. However, important SKO, i.e. smoke point, flash boiling not addressed here as used improving flowability pipeline.
